Harness your own power and innate ability to heal!


Breath is a defining factor in yoga, yet we are often disconnected from this vital force off the mat. Pranayama is the practice of regulating the breath in order to direct energy throughout the body. A regular pranayama practice is truly transformative to our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.


Tristina will cover the following topics:

  • The western model of respiration: anatomical knowledge/application

  • The eastern energetic body: Nadis (channels) and Bandhas (locks)

  • Multiple pranayama practices for various physical/psychological effects

  • How to incorporate these techniques into your yoga/meditation practices for more profound results


This workshop is appropriate for all levels, no experience necessary. Please refrain from eating for at least one hour prior.

Have the hang of sun salutations and want to start taking your practice to the next level? Join Tristina for this workshop where you will be guided through step-by-step instruction on how to start incorporating new moves into your repertoire!


We will cover various topics such as:

  • Safe alignment when shifting through Chatarunga to Upward Dog

  • How to begin jumping forward/back in the vinyasa sequence

  • The purpose of breath & bandhas and how to engage them in your practice

  • Accessible preparations for arm balances and inversions


With the right tools, you may be surprised at what you’re capable of doing! Leave with a greater understanding of how to continue advancing your practice.

This workshop is for students who have taken at least 10 vinyasa classes. Please refrain from eating for at least one hour prior.


Develop a greater understanding of the poses, while giving and receiving assists. This interactive program will be focused around breath, enhanced observation, and supporting the body's movement in a skillful manner. 


What you will learn:

  • How to become grounded in your own body to support another

  • Skills to give effective hands-on yoga assists

  • Functional anatomy and how it relates to the poses

  • How to observe physical/energetic qualities of yoga poses

  • Create an enhanced experience for students receiving assists

Join Tristina and Michael every Sunday for interactive discussions and group activities that introduce the theme for each week. The intention of YFL is to increase balance in your life by integrating key principles of yoga philosophy.
