Yoga has taught me that the path to happiness and enlightenment is not actually a path at all. It is just a metaphor for the amount of time that it takes to accept and embrace myself and my life exactly as they are.
I spent over a decade focusing on having more, doing more, and being more...all the while completely losing sight of the abundace already surrounding me and within me. Through the practice, I learned to breathe into this moment, connect with my true self, and share from that place.
I feel constantly challenged, inspired, and uplifted every time that I unroll my mat. I am reminded that in those moments where I engage myself completely, nothing about the future matters and nothing in the past is holding me back.
I am free to BE. Exactly as I am. And that is enough.
