Breath is a defining factor in yoga, yet we are often disconnected from this vital force off the mat. Pranayama is the practice of regulating the breath in order to direct energy throughout the body. A regular pranayama practice is truly transformative to our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Tristina will cover the following topics:
~ The western model of respiration: anatomical knowledge/application
~ The eastern energetic body: Nadis (channels) and Bandhas (locks)
~ Multiple pranayama practices for various physical/psychological effects
~ How to incorporate these techniques into your yoga/meditation practices for more profound results
This workshop is appropriate for all levels, no experience necessary. Please refrain from eating for at least one hour prior.
